Glucorest contains fermented black soybean extract, also known as touchi extract. Studies suggest that taking touchi extract before meals may help blunt the glycemic response, though further research is needed. Touchi extract has been shown to inhibit á-glucosidase in laboratory studies. In human studies, touchi consumption has not been associated with reported gastrointestinal discomfort.
